ACCORDING TO ZAC

You know that moment when you check your bank statement online and say, "oh, crap."? That's the worst.

Let me tell you why today was excellent. The reasons why today was good happen to also involve why Tanner is basically my favorite person ever. 1. Tanner called some people "assholes" of his own free will. Totally unexpected. Funniest moment of my life. 2. Tanner also said that even if a politician was Jesus, the Democrats wouldn't like him. Also funniest moment of my life. My eyes might have watered a little bit because of how funny it was (which is bad while driving). I took a test and spent 12 hours away from home, which is entirely too long, but still had a fantastic day. I'm a lucky guy.

Today has been pleasant. Some great friends came over to study for an exam. We had a good time, and managed to study some class material. I also finished my long board. Photos to come. More importantly, while my long board is drying in the sun, I took some photos of the lovely spring day. The birdseed heart one is for Kendle . Side note: Those last two photos are of frost damaged plants. My heart is broken for our sad plants that were hurt.

One time I bought a long board. It came blank on the bottom, and I knew that I wanted to take on this art project in addition to learning how to ride. I'd settled on an argyle design a long time ago, and set out to create a template. I did, and it took forever, and wasn't a very fun process. But, I knew it'd be so much cooler to have a painted long board than a straight up plain board. I opened it up, and it looked like this: And then it got put together and looked like this: After I drew up the template to scale on a piece of cardboard, I practiced some on some pieces of spare wood. Heaven knows, I didn't want to mess up my board on the first try. Well, yesterday I set out all of my things in preparation for painting. Then, I painted on the diamonds with a little black over spray to make it look a little less sterile and boring. I left it overnight to dry completely. Spring is here, and while the warm temperature isn't exactly my favorite, the nights and mornings have been kind of amazing. Our crazy winter weather kind of ruined our flowers. We probably won't have any sweet peas and our snapdragons are terrible. On the upside though, our Iceland poppies are looking good!

Tonight I went and saw Tron in 3D. It was kind of awesome. I want to go to there. Or just be Sam Flynn. Either will do.

I bought a long board. I very much love it.
