Iced Over

Image
This whole post is collection of the stuff that has happened in the last few days. You've been given fair warning as to how random all of this is. Firstly, remember when I posted the other day about how cold it was? Yeah, that was nothing. It got way colder than that. On Wednesday or Thursday, I checked the weather, and with windchill the temperature was 5 degrees. That doesn't happen here! Kelsey, I know you're scoffing again, but that's crazy business! At any rate, I got to wear my big coat with fur, my scarf, and a fun beanie! Also, our fountains froze over! It was totally nuts, but so dang cool to see. The weather has warmed up, but there's still ice out there. Also, remember when I posted about all of our lights that were trying to keep our plants warm? They didn't really work. Most of them are damaged now, and my dad isn't sure how well they'll come back. As he says it, frost-tolerant plants are rarely pretty. That's why we don't own any....

It's cold. I know, I know, Kelsey , you're scoffing right now, but this is a big deal to Tucson people! Also, my brother just called, and the first thing my dad said to him was, "I'm freezing my balls off!" My family is the best. :)

Production Day

Image
Listen to how productive I have been in the two hours I've been awake (even though it's like, 29 degrees outside!): Awake at 5:35, only use Snooze button once At the gym by 6:05 (I beat Hank there!) Work out for 40 minutes Eat an almost healthy breakfast (Ovaltine is never healthy, haha) Take photographs when I get home Blogging presently Amazing, huh? I think so too. So, we love plants over here, right? Well, our yards are lit up like the Forth of July to keep everything from freezing off. Haha. Enjoy some photos of our silliness!

Scheduling

I was going through my calendar today ( tangent: I really love the way Google does calendars. It's easy, clean looking, will email you reminders, etc. Since my school email is operated by Google, I imported my personal Gmail calendar into my school calendar, and now always have everything I need in one convenient place. I love it.). I can't help but completely love how empty January seems. I have been so crazy busy this semester, I can't believe it. Even next week has less crap to take care of, and most of it is painless. I'm so ready for a break. Just one more final! Let's observe the progression of craziness beginning in October: :: :: :: I know January will fill up once school starts and stuff, but for now I will just look forward to having a clean slate. :) And yes, all of this blogging is in an effort to avoid studying.

Seasonally Confused

Arizona thought it would take it's turn at fall. The leaves are changing and falling all over the place. But, the joke is on Arizona, since it's December . Oh well. I like changing leaves as much now as I would have liked them two months ago.   ::
